Family Fun – Plan and coordinate Movie Night, Cougar Carnival, Family Dance and Early Release Day Activities

Hospitality – Provide Refreshments & Decorate for Special Events     

 

 

Staff Appreciation –Decorate, bring baked goods, and make treats for staff, Plan and coordinate Staff Appreciation Week

 

 

Book Fair Committee – Plan, Coordinate, and Help students purchase books during book fair week (during school day hours)

 

 

Reading Rally Committee – Plan and coordinate Themed Reading Rallies, Assist students with crafts, checking out books, and volunteer at the

event (evening hours)

 

 

Fifth Grade D.C. Trip Fundraising – Assist with Fundraising that will decrease student costs for D.C. fieldtrip

 

 

Fundraising – Collecting & Counting Money, Distributing items, and volunteering at Spirit Nights (day & evening hours)

​

 

Clothes Closet/Lost & Found – Help collect donated clothing items for student “accidents”, Organize lost & found, attempt to return lost items to students

 

 

Cultural Arts – Coordinate and Assist at Cultural Arts Events seating students (during school day hours)

 

 

Healthy Lifestyles – Encourages Students to Eat Healthy and Exercise.  Oversees the Walking Club on Friday Mornings (8:40a-9:10am)

 

 

 

Holiday Shop – Set up and help students purchase holiday gifts for their families (during school day hours)

 

 

Labels for Education – Collect & Count Box Tops, Labels for Education, and Tyson Chicken A+ program

 

 

Membership – Plan and coordinate Membership Drive & membership Party

School Store – Work in School Store (8:40a-9:10a Tuesday - Thursday and on Friday Spirit Days)

​

 

Spelling Bee – Organize & conduct classroom and school wide spelling bees

 

 

Spirit Wear – Sell Spirit Wear on Spirit Days (8:40-9:10a)

 

 

Valentine Grams – Organize & Distribute Valentine Cards/Gifts

 

 

Yearbook – Take Photos & Create Yearbook Pages on Yearbook Website, help with student picture day, organize yearbook signing parties

 

 

Advocacy Committee – Inform the membership about education issues and North Carolina PTA legislative goals and help members become

effective advocates. 

 

 

Bulletin Board – Decorate the Bulletin Board by the office
